Prose story summary of no more than 750 words (PDF, anonymised) · Ten pages of sample script from the screenplay (PDF, anonymised) · Entry form with name, screenplay title, email and phone

Open worldwide; entries must be in English and stories can be set anywhere. You enter a screen story for a feature-length screenplay (90 to 120 pages when written). TV dramas, sitcoms, short films, theatre and radio plays are excluded. Multiple entries are permitted at £45 each.

Prizes

First prize is a year of script development valued at £1,200, including full feedback reports on three drafts. Second prize is a Euroscript Full Report on any completed script (valued £300); third is a Euroscript Barometer Report (valued £120). Every entrant receives a Treatment Barometer Report.

Judging

Entries are read anonymised and judged by a panel of writers, who draw up a shortlist and pick three winners, announced in June. The 2026 edition was the competition's 32nd running.
