Open to writers internationally. Scripts must be submitted in English with fees paid in US dollars. Original work only; entrants must retain all rights. Filmmatic accepts PDF, Final Draft, Movie Magic Screenwriter, Microsoft Word, Rich Text, or plain text formats. Judges and employees of Filmmatic, InkTip, and sponsors are ineligible.

Prizes

Overall Winner: $1,000 cash, Literary Manager guest judge consultation, Final Draft software package, Screenwriting Staffing Premium Membership, and an InkTip listing package. Ten Finalists and over 100 Semi-Finalists receive organised press exposure and InkTip listing packages. All entrants receive an invitation to Filmmatic's annual Sundance networking event.

Judging

Judged across multiple rounds. Quarter-Finalists, Semi-Finalists, ten Finalists, and one Overall Winner are named in each cycle. Winner notification by 15 August 2026.
