The honest part is structural, and it matters more here than anywhere else on this list: the programme is officially unpaid, and it requires weekly in-person workshops in Los Angeles for the first twelve weeks from its January 2027 start. That combination quietly decides who can actually attend. If you cannot afford three months of unpaid LA time, this programme is not built for you, and it is better to know that before you spend weeks polishing an application.
Eligibility is emerging-writer-shaped: you must be 21 or over on 1 January 2027, authorised to work in the US without sponsorship, and staffed on no more than one scripted series.
