How to approach
There is no cold route to the screen departments. Their terms of use state that WME does not accept submissions of any kind through the website, by email or otherwise, and the excluded list names screenplays and treatments specifically rather than leaving it to inference.
One thing worth knowing because it causes real confusion: their books department does read unsolicited manuscripts, and says so publicly. It also states twice that it does not consider or represent screenplays. A screenwriter following the books route is not finding a clever way in, they are writing to a department that has ruled their work out in writing.
